Congratulations to Pedro Hernandez for his ATIP-Avenir on “Cytokine function during development and homeostasis of intestinal epithelial cells”, a project bringing together developmental biology, immunobiology and gut physiology. In this project, Pedro and his team aim to uncover how different modes of cytokine production, and their crosstalk with the microbiota, control gut development, maturation and homeostasis, providing fundamental insights into how intercellular communication controls organogenesis and maintains tissue homeostasis.
